Cuttlefish Multimedia Ltd is a creative web design and multimedia company that has been based in Loughborough, Leicestershire in the UK's East Midlands since 2001. We create media-rich content managed websites using our cCMS and communityPortals website management systems. We work with clients ranging from large plcs and councils through to local businesses, community groups and arts organisations.
We specialise in building 'content managed' websites that allow our clients to maintain their own web pages via simple-to-use tools. Our other services include creating ecommerce systems, internet video, dual language sites, social networking and Internet consultancy.
We have developed our own multimedia Content Management Systems (CMSs). 'communityPortals' is used in many small and large-scale installations and its users number in the thousands. It is utilised by our clients in local government, commerce, the arts and even by our local Member of Parliament. 'cCMS' provides a state of the art framework for building 'Web 2.0' sites and is used as the 'back-end' for many sophisticated Web sites.
We can design, build and host your website using our in-house technology and train you in its use (this won't take long!). We can configure and maintain a dedicated web server and work with your organisation to create a dynamic and up-to-date Web site. We can also customise the system and integrate it with your existing databases and content systems and then promote it using various search engine optimisation (SEO) techniques.
Websites built using communityPortals and cCMS are inherently standards compliant. They adhere to the latest XHTML and CSS standards, comply with accessibility guidelines, can be made eGovernment compliant and make use of the latest XML technologies 'under the hood'.
If you are looking to develop a web presence that puts you in control of your multimedia content, makes it easy to comply with the latest Web standards, looks good and works well then please contact us. We are also happy to work with agencies and other web companies. You you will not find a better team to help you meet your website expectations.
Your first contact with Cuttlefish is likely to be with Director Sean Clark or Project Manager Peter Courtenay. After our first meeting with you we will prepare a project proposal that will present our solution, together with timescales and costings. Once you give us the go-ahead we will put together a development team, normally consisting of a developer, designer and management contact. Larger projects will have more than one developer.
We will then work with you to create a suitable website design, to collect and produce content and to configure the Content Management System and add any custom "modules" needed. After you are happy with the site under its development web address we will then ensure basic search engine optimisation (SEO) has taken place, launch the site on it's live address and then train you in the use of the content management tools.
After launch we can then work with you on further SEO, we can advise on Adwords (or similar) advertising and can help you make the most of the opportunities that your new site will bring.
E-mail addresses are in the form forename followed by surname initial (e.g. fredb) at cuttlefish.com. General enquiries can be sent to enquiries@cuttlefish.com.
