Our Environmental Policy

Cuttlefish takes its environmental responsibilities very seriously - we minimise our use of fossil fuels and paper, and always try to offset our carbon footprint.

Green Hosting

Together with Rackspace we take part in Green Hosting, an initiative to offset the carbon footprint generated by our webservers in the London datacenter. This scheme champions the use of the most power efficient hardware, recycling our redundant components and planting trees.

Cycle To Work

Cuttlefish actively participate in the Cycle To Work scheme which provides tax relief on bicycles. Currently five members of our team travel to work everyday without the use of fossil fuels.

PDF - Not Print

We also try our best not to print any emails, documents or proposals unless absolutely necessary. Our fax machine is completely virtual and simply emails PDF copies instead.

Reduce, Reuse & Recycle

Whether in our office or at home we will always do our best to Reduce, Reuse & Recycle. Indeed, one of our favourite recent projects was creating the LeicesterShire Freeuse website that allows residents of Leicestershire to trade unwanted items, for free, to avoid these items ending up in landfill.
