Cuttlefish Labs

Are you a student or professional web programmer with strong PHP, SQL, and XML skills? Looking to develop your expertise further by working on interesting Web 2.0 projects? Cuttlefish Labs could be for you. We are looking for people to take on experimental web projects. Projects are unpaid, but we can provide a supportive working environment and it's a great way of demonstrating your skills to us or other prospective employers. Contact labs@cuttlefish.com.

Student Placements

Cuttlefish often accepts students for short- or longer-term placements. We are also able to support student projects in relevant areas. If you are at college or University and interested in working with us then please get in touch. Short-term placements, internships and projects are normally unpaid, although we do take on one or two longer-term University student paid placements a year.

College Students

Highly motivated students from local community colleges seeking work experience should have a strong interest in either web design, web programming, graphic design or web content management. You can contact us direct, or preferably via your college's Placement Officer. We are only able to offer one week placements and places are limited.

Students with disabilities who are interested in working with us testing Website accessibility are welcome to contact us about short-term placements. We cannot guarantee to be able to offer placements to all who apply.

University Students

We are interested in long-term placement students with exceptional skills in web programming using PHP, SQL, XML/XSL, Javascript and related technologies. Our convenient location on Epinal Way makes us an ideal location for Loughborough University students, but we are also interested in talented people from Leicester, Derby and Nottingham Universities.

Cuttlefish is never short of interesting ideas for final year student projects and can provide an expert and supportive environment for students looking to develop web-based ideas as part of their course work.

Internships

Not all prospective employees are formally qualified in web design. If you are self-taught, very talented and in search of a break then you could spend a couple of weeks working with us for free. If you're good enough we may be interested in talking to you further.

Arts Students

Arts students looking to develop creative projects with Cuttlefish's Sean Clark should contact him via his Cuttlefish Digital Arts website.

Testimonials

"Having worked with Cuttlefish for a number of years, I would recommend their services very highly. A friendly and accommodating team with a great knowledge of website building and the many other aspects of being present on the Internet."

John Young, Director at Orange Hedgehog
