Much of Cuttlefish Multimedia's success is built on our use of tried and tested Internet technology. We have our own Content Management Systems (CMSs) and use a number of trusted third-parties to provide Web server co-location and related services.

cPortals (formerly communityPortals)

'cPortals' is our original and most established Content Management System. It is used in over 60 installations and provides a very simple, yet sophisticated, way to manage a website for your business or organisation. cSocial

Our 'cSocial' system is a configurable package for building your own social networking site. It comes with features for creating and linking user profiles, plus facilities for integrating with YouTube, Flickr, Facebook and other established social networking sites.

cCMS

'cCMS' is our latest toolkit for building 'Web 2.0' websites. It is fast, flexible and highly standards compliant. With cCMS only the 'back-end' comes out of the box, we customise it to support your needs and every aspect of the 'front-end' is re-configurable.

Domain Name Registration and Management

We can register and manage your UK and international domain names (IDNs). When you register with us you can rest assured that you own the domain and that it will be automatically renewed until you tell us otherwise. If you need to transfer your domain to another registry then we will do so in a no-quibble way for a small administration charge.

Mailing List Management

Used well, email marketing can be a successful part of your on-line strategy. Used badly, will can damage your reputation and upset your customers. We operate a strict opt-in policy for our managed mailing lists and provide a self-cleaning and easy-to-use list management tool.

Web Hosting and Site Management

It is vital that your website is available at all times and runs efficiently. We have a network of our own servers located with the UK's leading hosting company Rackspace. We can provide dedicated or shared servers, 24/7 site monitoring, access to usage statistics, full back-up and can even manage your site's content if you wish us to.

Web Standards

We aim to ensure that your site meets all relevant standards for design, layout and accessibility. We use CSS and XHTML when building sites and have a deep knowledge of WAI and "practical" guidelines for making your sites usable by a wide variety of users. We also make use of open source software where possible and keep ourselves up-to-date with the developing standards for content syndication and distribition.
